Maria Ringo DHMHS, CCH, HOM
Maria Ringo received her undergraduate degree from the University of Michigan in 1985 and shortly thereafter began a year-long trek around the world by backpack.
She spent the next decade as co-founder and president of Sojourner Farms (now known as Sojos), one of the first natural dog food companies in North America. In the 1990’s she sold the company and moved to Canada to marry the love of her life. She and her family have lived in North Toronto for over 20 years.
A devoted student of health and nutrition, Maria left the corporate world and went back to school after the sale of her business to become a licensed practitioner of Homeopathic Medicine with a focus on family practice. She graduated from the Ontario College of Homeopathic Medicine with honours in both Science and Homeopathy and is currently a member of that Faculty. She is a registered member of the College of Homeopaths Ontario. She is a past-President of the Ontario Homeopath Association, and a frequent contributor to Dogs Naturally Magazine and other publications.
Maria has a passion for homeopathy that goes back 25 years to when she first discovered it working as an office manager for a busy homeopathic family practice in Ann Arbor, Michigan. Having seen firsthand how brilliantly effective homeopathic medicine can be for every member of the family, Maria devotes as much time as possible to learning more about the care of children, women’s conditions, and mental health. Wanting to probe more deeply into her patients’ individual nutritional status she earned her certificate in Live Cell Nutritional Analysis with Microscopy at the Edison Institute and has added this fascinating educational service to her practice.
With her husband David Stauble, in 2010 Maria co-founded Carna4 Handcrafted Pet Food, the first 100% synthetic-free complete commercial pet food. She loves her job as the Director of Healthcare because she gets to spend her time writing articles, teaching, and interacting with consumers via webinars, radio interviews and public presentations about nutrition and health all over North America.
Applying her education and many years of experience helping people and pets with safe, gentle medicine, nutritional strategies and personal support is Maria’s professional focus and joy, and she looks forward to sharing her knowledge with you.
